Melksham Tennis Club

Based at Melksham Campus, our club enables social & competitive group tennis for local players - new members always welcome!

About the club

The club was originally related to Avon Tyres, who opened their sports & social club on 11 December 1920, for their employees to play sports behind the management office at Melksham House. Avon Tyres was later succeeded by Cooper Tyres in 1997, before Wiltshire Council took over Melksham House in 2011.

The venue enjoyed grass courts originally, but have recently been upgraded (2021) by Wiltshire Council to floodlit hard-court surfaces that can be played on all-year-round. The tennis club has been recently re-established and has an arrangement with Wiltshire Council to allow our members to play at the Melksham Community Campus.
